Accredited training

Within South Africa there are 4x4 training programs available through unaccredited trainers. We’re not like that. If you want to be properly trained and to make sure your certificate is truly valid we recommend spending your money wisely and investing in fully accredited 4x4 off road training.

Our off road driver training courses are run in association with the 4×4 Offroad Academy and accredited by TETA (Transport Education and Training Authority). In line with industry best practice we’ve based the structure and content of our courses on the NOW (National Off-Road Workshop) program’s curriculum. We ensure your total confidence by only working with accredited training providers, upholding the highest quality training offering we can.

Courses

We offer various levels of training courses that cater for all previous experience (or lack of) to get you started with 4x4 off road driving or hone your skills:

  • Introductory training
  • Basic 4x4
  • Advanced 4x4
  • Recognition of previous learning (RPL) course
  • Kinetic and winch training

RPL training is designed for active drivers of off road vehicles. You may drive a 4x4 for work, have taken a 4x4 training course before or even a qualified instructor. This course advances beyond just advanced driving skills; it gives you the opportunity to certify your expertise on 4x4s. For more information see the RPL training page.

A new off road family

Once you’ve completed your training course why not join us for an informal gathering? Members meet regularly to put their skills into practice. This is a chance to meet loads of other off road enthusiasts to go driving with.
